Tacx ride Col del Nivolet This two-stage ride is one of the most scenic and challenging climbs in the Italian Alps. Stage one begins in a long valley that takes you into the wilderness of the mountains as you begin your ascent. The sun begins to set during this ride, offering breathtaking views.

In winter the final stretch is almost always in the shade so the temperature is often close to zero or below zero, so equip yourself well for the cold....

Colorful waterfall

It is a simply spectacular restaurant. The owner of Mulino de Bairo recommended it to me when I went up to Colle del Nivolet for the first time with my wife. The menu is local alpine dishes. There is game meat, mountain cheeses and other delicacies. When I returned for the second time, I didn't hesitate to stop with my friends for lunch. It was late and they had no qualms about feeding us. We were super grateful. I hope the restaurant remains open... because I will return with my wife... and my children.

Road along which the Giro d'Italia traveled when it arrived at Lake Serrú. The beginning is closed to car traffic by a barrier, but it can be easily overcome by bicycle. From here to Ceserole Reale there is a very hard stretch with continuous horseshoe curves, some small galleries, a beautiful torrent of water and a road with asphalt in perfect condition.

The Ceserole Reale lake is spectacular and a suitable place to have a drink and enjoy the high mountain landscape. The 3 times I have visited the Nivolet, I have stopped at a bar in Ceserole to enjoy the moment.
