The Kleine and Große Rehbach streams babble idyllically and meander through the forest. Hikers mostly walk on natural paths along the stream.

One of the most beautiful stream valleys in the area. You have to share it with hikers, cars and motorbikes when the going gets tough. The paths up the slopes are closed to traffic. There are places to stop for refreshments at the inn below the Nordeck and Neumühle behind the gorge.

Water and rocks are a beautiful combination here. The view of the Steinachtal is wonderful.

This special natural monument was created thousands of years ago. The Steinach River ate deeper and deeper through an extremely hard volcanic rock, which is called “quartz keratophyre”. The Steinachklamm geotope with its steep slopes and the narrow section of the gorge south of Wildenstein is definitely worth seeing.
