Tiriolo is a charming village in Calabria, southern Italy, known as the "place between two seas." It is picturesquely situated on a hill overlooking the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas. Tiriolo boasts ancient roots, a rich history, traditional craftsmanship, and a welcoming, authentic atmosphere.

But Tiriolo is also a center rich in history and traditions where some of the best Calabrian artisans live: potters like Corrado Rotundo, weavers like Mirella Leone and luthiers like Tommaso Leone. The Regional Costume Museum and the Antiquarium are very interesting, as well as the magnificent historical centre.

Serrastretta was founded by Jewish refugees fleeing Jewish persecution and has historically been home to a sizeable Jewish community. In 2022 several Ukrainian Jewish refugee families were invited to the city in hopes of helping restore Jewish presence in Serrastretta.

The Dossi-Comuni Park, opened in spring 2015, had previously been abandoned. It includes a 60-hectare pine forest and a 9-hectare botanical garden, established in 1972 in the Dossi Comuni area in Nicastro. The botanical garden features more than 1000 plant species, including native trees, shrubs and herbs, as well as fruit trees, palms and succulents, divided into several thematic sections.

In the old town of Tiriolo, time stood still centuries ago. Small stone houses are placed around the tiny streets and squares of the place. In addition, there is the unique location on the mountain. The panoramas are uniquely beautiful and extend to the sea in good weather.
