From the campsite, we took a mountain bike ride to the waterfalls. We were there on April 22nd, and the temperature was about 23 degrees. The route was about 17km (outward) and 1,000m elevation gain. The mountain villages are very beautiful, especially Katarraktis, with its market square and restaurant, which is a great place to stop for a break (on the way back). We saw two turtles on the side of the road while driving up. A particularly nice visit was the old mill, which Mr. Gravias has beautifully converted into a museum. Mr. Gravias speaks good German and invited us in when we stopped for a moment.
