The gondola station isn't always open, so check before you go if you're going to use it.

From this vantage point, you'll have a great view of the Neidong Falls. They're one of three waterfalls in the Neidong National Forest Recreation Area. Beautifully framed by the dense forest, they're definitely worth a stop during your hike.

You'll enjoy a magnificent view of the Nanshi River Valley. The watercourse winds its way through in the most beautiful shades of blue, with forested mountains rising to the left and right. The water plunges a full 80 meters here, offering a magnificent natural spectacle. Also called the "Waterfall in the Clouds," during the rainy season, the Wulai Waterfall splits into two streams that cascade into the valley below. After crossing the small bridge to start the path to Dragonboat Rock, be aware that the first 2-5 mins of this path are VERY slippery. Conditions improve after that but remain very steep and a bit muddy. Be aware that especially in poor, wet conditions this path will be extremely slippery.

Surefootedness and some scrambling required up the Jinmianshan cliff and boulder area. There are some ropes/chains to assist. Quite exposed on a hot day, be sure to bring plenty of water and sun protection.

Nice view towards Yangmingshan, there are a couple little sitting areas and a pagoda. A bit further down the trail there are some (creepy looking) statues that are worth taking a look at. Fun extra addition peak to a hike from Jinmianshan to Jiantan.

This boulder not only is gigantic and a sight not to be missed but it has a peculiar crevice leading straight across that makes a convenient path to cross it.
