Access to the starting point by bus or taxi (easier). Beautiful, well-maintained, and marked trails. Impossible to get lost. Pay attention to the weather; if it's cloudy, you won't see anything... frustrating. Don't do the loop; finish at the visitor center, you'll find it easier to get transport.

During winter months, trail can get very muddy and slippery. There are ropes on some of the very steep segment to help trekkers.

The climb is strenuous, but worth it. From here you can see the Taipei 101 perfectly. If you like, you can let off steam in the outdoor fitness studio at the summit.

That's why you did the climb! Enjoy the view and think about whether you wouldn't like to go further because then you would be (almost) alone. Pleasant change after the crowds on this lovely weekend.

The path becomes steeper and winds through a stale gorge between huge stones. Certainly a worthwhile intermediate goal and motivation for the children. For adults, a nice wild spot on this rather well-maintained path.
