Oberjoch (dialect: s Joh) is a district of the market town of Bad Hindelang on a high saddle in the Bavarian-Swabian district of Oberallgäu. The parish village is advertised as "Germany's highest ski and mountain village", but there are higher settlements in Germany (Feldberg (place), Winklmoos-Alm, Gerstruben). Only around 200 people live here permanently.

Hardly a real mountain undertaking - yes, there are quite a few meters of altitude, but it is never in the least difficult. In summer it can be a bit uncomfortable that the path offers almost no shade from both sides.

On the way from the Zipfelsalpe it is very easy to climb the summit, it goes steadily, but not too steeply, and the path is actually never exposed. From the Ponten it is much steeper at the end, but much more varied and beautiful over the sufficiently wide degree.

The mountain station of the Iseler Bahn is at an altitude of 1559 m. Unfortunately there is neither a restaurant nor a toilet here. Here is the starting point for numerous hikes on and around the Iseler Grat.

With the bus from Obermaiselstein to Grasgehren, and start the hike on site via the Schönbergalpe to the Besler high or to the Dinigörgenalpe and there the path splits towards Lochbachtal or Rohrmoostal. Sturdy shoes are definitely an advantage. There are places to stop for refreshments on both routes.

Not that crowded and is a good beginner tour. Take sturdy shoes and something to drink with you. Simply enjoy.
