Something's happening at Eggersdorf Castle. The former "lost place" has apparently been rediscovered. Extensive tree felling has made the property and building visible again. Now, one can better imagine the former splendor this building may have radiated. The driveway is now clearly visible and once seemed to have been very sophisticated.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of ducal Rococo and follow in the footsteps of the emperor's sons on one of our tours of the Prince's House in Plön. During our tours, you'll be able to explore the historic Rococo rooms and a small exhibition on the history of today's Prince's House, featuring a model of the ducal pleasure garden and many memorabilia from the emperor's sons' Plön school days. Tours are only possible with a guided tour, so you can move around the beautiful rooms without disturbing barriers. The "Large Woman Seated in the Sun" is a bronze nude by Fritz During from 1959 on the lakeside of Plön Castle. "In addition to the sensual and relaxed depiction, the focus here is primarily on the formal structure—the beauty of the lines that the eye can follow. On the lake side of Plön Castle, Fritz During's Large Sitting in the Sun is squatting on a large boulder. The seated female nude presents the figure with bent legs crossed and arms crossed over the head. The face is turned sideways, upwards, towards the sun. In addition to the sensual, relaxed depiction, the formal structure is particularly important here - the beauty of the lines that the eye can follow.
