Nice flat walk. quite corner of the nature

Pitsford Dam is an expansive reservoir surrounded by countryside. It was completed in the 1950s and serves as a vital water supply for the region. There are walking and cycling paths surrounding the lake and lots of beautiful landscaps and wildlife.

Get up close to the Pitsford Water dam and enjoy expansive views over the glassy waters.

A great little cafe to fuel up before your walk. You can also hire bikes here if you'd prefer to cycle around the water.

Watch out for dog walkers

It is not possible to swim at Brixworth. All the other activities are available.

The Brampton Valley Way is a 14-mile (22.5 km) trail that makes use of the former Market Harborough to Northampton railway line. It is popular with both walkers and cyclists and is described by Northamptonshire County Council as a linear park. There are two unlit tunnels along the Way, Kelmarsh at 964 feet (294 m) and Oxendon at 1,384 feet (422 m). If you don't want the experience of walking through them, there are bypass paths.

Brixworth Country Park offers a range of activities in beautiful nature. You can ride your bike around the lake, swim, fish, walk, dine at the restaurant and learn more about the park's diverse nature at the visitor centre. There's also a gnome trail from a famous local author, a brass rubbing trail, and a scavenger hunt.

We always stop at the cafe for a coffee when we walk or bike round Pitsford. Its pretty flat and hard-ish surfaced paths so it's fairly easy walking or biking. The bike shop has now closed for the foreseeable future. There is parking here but you have to pay. There is a children's playground and public toilets.
