There are some lovely trails in the surrounding countryside to charming villages like Barby and Kilsby, whilst nearby Draycote Water is much loved by hikers and birdwatchers.

Thurlaston is a village and municipality in the district of Rugby. The village is at the end of a dead end and can only be reached via this. In addition to the St. Edmund Church, the former mill with courtyard (private property) is well worth a visit. From the village you have a view over the reservoir Draycote Water.
