The Grade II listed parkland is filled with veteran trees and offers sweeping views to distant hills. It's an actively managed / farming landscape and some of the sheep here are rare breeds.

Someone thoughtfully left a bucket of oats for this forest pony, who seems to have grazed all the surrounding grass.

The Talbot is a particular favourite, they brew their own selection of excellent beers, and the food is superb too! It is also in a great location alongside the River Teme and below Ankerdine Hill. The little chapel in the photo above is actually the Knightwick Mortuary Chapel, and it is up a nearby hill, about 3/4 of a mile from the Talbot.

Top of the hill, there's a bench, with excellent views toward Berrow Hill. Take a breather doing hill reps from Kingswood Common, and read the plaque.

Well kept footpaths through the woods. Trail along the Teme bank, or higher up the valley. Off road shoes essential, mind your step for some tree roots.

Red sandstone rock formation - low cliffs of exposed stone that has been historically quarried for building materials. A path runs along the bottom and the top, currently (Sept 2024) overgrown in places. An information sign gives details among the nettles.

A circle of birches, some fallen from storms.

Expect damp paths and some mud, but gorgeous, with wildlife to spot if you're quiet.
