It can probably only be seen in winter when the trees no longer have any leaves.

The moor nature trail is lovingly laid out and there are many information boards, which are not placed randomly but rather at thematically appropriate points.

Beautiful forest path

Since 1999, the nature reserve has also been an FFH area (Flora-Fauna-Habitat area) and part of the European NATURA 2000 protected area system. Here, the nature conservation office of the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) and the NABU Rotenburg have jointly created a hiking trail system with interactive and information-providing information boards and themed pavilions as well as a moor experience zone so that visitors can explore the moor in peace and quiet and on walking trails of varying lengths.

The Bullensee is a natural lake in the middle of a forest and moorland area. Its wide, shallow bathing area makes it ideal for children. There is an extensive network of well-paved and signposted hiking trails. A new addition is a moorland nature trail, which was created and is maintained by NABU Rotenburg. On May 17, this path over the wooden pallets was passable again. It was still muddy under the pallets, but the path was no longer flooded.
