오늘 친구와 함께 이 길을 걸었는데, 하이킹 트레일 표지판이 매우 형편없다고 생각했습니다. 계속해서 휴대폰을 주머니에서 꺼내 확인하지 않았다면 여러 번 길을 잃었을 것입니다. 저희는 친절한 여성에게 길을 물어보고 나서야 습지 길을 찾을 수 있었습니다. 그 구간에는 다른 사람들도 더 많았지만, 나머지 구간은 표지판이 형편없었습니다.

Anyone who doesn't know would simply walk past, but you can actually just make out 5 burial mounds along the path. An information board on site provides further explanations. The dead were buried here individually and the grave was used by several generations.

The moor nature trail is lovingly laid out and there are many information boards, which are not placed randomly but rather at thematically appropriate points.

In 2021, the NORDPFAD Dör’t Moor was voted “Germany’s Most Beautiful Hiking Trail 2021” in the day tour category in the public vote. The “Great Moor Loop”, as the NORDPFAD “Dör’t Moor” is called in the NABU hiking trail system, begins at the parking lot of the Großer Bullensee.

See and experience the great diversity of nature in a small space: The MEGa hands-on and adventure garden at Hartmannshof in Rotenburg (Wümme) invites you to do just that. Spanning more than 25,000 square meters, visitors will find numerous miniature habitats, including flowerbeds, bushes, and trees worth exploring. Information panels, some in simple language, explain the special features. Children are thrilled by the adventure and play facilities on site—such as the play nesting box, the snake swing, and the humming stone. Adults are also invited to sharpen their senses by listening to the wind harp or making water dance with the natural frequencies of a bowl. School classes and other groups can plant and tend their own flowerbeds and marvel at the diversity of nature during guided tours. Those who like can borrow an audio guide from the farm café to complement the information panels in the garden or download a corresponding app to their smartphone. Funded by the EU, the state of Lower Saxony, and the district and city of Rotenburg, the project was implemented by NABU Rotenburg in cooperation with Rotenburger Werke from 2013 to 2015. Since then, NABU has continuously expanded the facility, including the addition of a faithfully reconstructed Krummsparren sheepfold in 2017, and the addition of a special light pond and the establishment of a colony of the bald-backed wood ant in 2018.
