Pretty crossing over the River Nene with opportunities to deter from the path slightly and get closer to the river. The spot under the tree is a great place for a picnic during the warmer months.

The Bampton Valley Way is a 14-mile (22.5km) disused railway trail between Northampton and Market Harborough. It's a well surfaced multi-user trail, perfect for easy rides, families or as part of a commute. The trail follows a section of the old Northampton–Market Harborough railway line. It opened in 1859 and closed in 1981.

Some old trains are stationed on this old train station. the nearby pub is very nice and it's just a short stroll from there...

Designed and built by George R Stephenson, the Northampton to Market Harborough line was opened in 1859 for L&NWR. The passenger service was finally withdrawn on 26th August 1973. This signal box remains from the Boughton stop on the line, which is now part of the re-opened heritage railway.
