The Slunjčica River emerges 6.5 km south of Slunj. In the village of Rastoke, the Slunjčica flows into the Korana River, which originates from the Plitvice Lakes. At the confluence, the Slunjčica has created a travertine barrier 500 m wide and 200 m long. Due to its relatively short surface course, the Slunjčica is always cooler than the nearby Korana. In summer, the Korana's maximum temperature is around 28 °C. Mountain lodge "Klek" is located at the foot of the southern peak of Klek at an altitude of 1000 m. The building was built from hewn stone in the period from 1954 to 1958. It consists of a ground floor and an attic. On the ground floor there is a kitchen and a dining room, and on the first floor and the attached wing are dormitories with a total of 40 beds. The home is open on weekends and is managed by HPD "Klek" Ogulin.
