This sculpture stands in the middle of the square in front of the villa. It's a great photo opportunity for Transformers fans.

The tour starts at Wendisch Rietz train station. There are plenty of parking spaces here, and there's also a stop for those traveling by train.

Next to the edge of the path, there is this little bench, or rather, it is rooted there. Moss is spreading across it and the wood is slowly rotting, but it stands alone and waits bravely for a hiker.

It is worth taking a look at the doorbell

The "Little Sanssouci" villa complex consists of a castle-like main building, an outbuilding with a connecting corridor and a park-like villa garden. The miniature version of Potsdam's Sanssouci Palace, built between 1745 and 1747 by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff, was built in 1905, 1912 and 1913, and the side wing was added in 1939. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, it was returned to its original owner, the German Post Office. Today it is privately owned, presumably by a "Transformers" fan. At least that is what the large sculpture in the driveway suggests.

The agricultural property on the eastern shore of Lake Scharmützelsee was first mentioned in documents in 1851 as "Theresienhof". It originated from a water mill. Well-known private owners included the actress Ernestine Wegner and the Renz circus family. Owned by various companies and institutions since 1918, the "Theresienhof" was used as a recreation and holiday home or training facility. In 2008, the main building, often referred to as a castle, was demolished. The striking villa ("Swedish house") built in 1911 remained.
