Ferring Sø is an inland lake that lies directly on the North Sea. It couldn't be more beautiful. A beautiful, rugged part of Denmark's west coast. The lake is only separated from the sea by a narrow sand dike. A complete circuit is about 9km.

The path is very pleasant to walk on, boggy and springy. If it is very wet, you will need rubber boots or you can take the parallel path through the dunes. You can only ride a bike here with restrictions (you have to push it occasionally).

The route is very nice to run. But you shouldn't do it after a long period of rain, as there is a lot of water on the meadows 😀

Lake Ferring (Danish: Ferring Sø) is a 320-hectare brackish lake in West Jutland in Lemvig Municipality, about ten kilometers west of Lemvig. The lake is just north of the village of Ferring and has an average depth of 1.4 meters and a maximum depth of 2.4 metres. Only a narrow coastal strip separates the lake from the open North Sea. An old cliff borders the lake to the east. On the west side, which borders the sea, there is a dune landscape. A path for pedestrians and cyclists, about ten kilometers long, leads around the lake. At the edge of the path there are tables and benches in several places. On the eastern side of the lake, the path leads through a hilly landscape shaped by the Ice Age with high, steep slopes, which used to form the shoreline.
