An old watermill, but no longer in operation. It looks like it's privately owned.

Nice castle, even better golf course ... the restaurant is also an opportunity for a coffee break 😉

The 13.5 km long Neetze Canal connects the Neetze with the Ilmenau. It absorbs almost all of the water from the Neetze and transports it to the Ilmenau. The canal crosses under the Elbe Lateral Canal on its way.

The stately half-timbered building of this mill is located on the Neetze between the forest areas of the Fuhrenkamp and the Buchholzheide. It is first mentioned in the document book of the Scharnebeck monastery, which reports on a trade in 1330, through which the mill belonging to the Lüne monastery fell to the Scharnebeck monastery in exchange for a farm in Eyendorf. Peter and Paul Church in Lüdersburg In the 15th century, the nave and choir of this church were built in late Gothic forms that are barely recognizable today. On the curved low barrier in front of the altar you can see her two patron saints in front of you: on the left the apostle Peter with his symbol, the key, and on the right the apostle Paul with the instrument of his execution, the sword. The baroque interior (pulpit, altar and prieehe = patronage stalls) was donated around 1700 by various members of the von Wittorf patronage family. The neo-Gothic church tower was built in 1873 in place of a wooden belfry. https://www.kirchenkreis-lueneburg.de/ihre_gemeinden/kirchengemeinden_land/hittbergen/kirche_luedersburg

The imposing manor house, which is now known as Lüdersburg Castle, goes back to an old medieval castle. What the castle looked like and who owned it is unknown. The town of Lüdersburg itself was once a small manor whose owners in all probability also built the castle. On the foundations of the castle - presumably it was demolished due to decay or had long since disappeared down to the foundations - today's Lüdersburg Castle was finally built in 1776. The manor house, together with the two cavalier houses, is not only a special gem in the former Principality of Lüneburg, but also the city's landmark. In the course of the 20th century, work began on restoring Lüdersburg Castle and the surrounding village. As practically the entire town is a listed building, this was a particularly difficult and costly task. In 1986, work began on converting the castle into a hotel with a golf course. The first golf course was completed as early as 1989, and a second was opened ten years later. In addition to the manor house itself, Lüdersburg Castle also includes the "pony shed" and an old sheep farm. Together with the castle cellar, they were included in the new usage concept of the house as a hotel. http://www.burgen-und-schloesser.net/niedersachsen/schloss-luedersburg/geschichte.html
