The stately half-timbered building of this mill is located on the Neetze between the forest areas of the Fuhrenkamp and the Buchholzheide. It is first mentioned in the document book of the Scharnebeck monastery, which reports on a trade in 1330, through which the mill belonging to the Lüne monastery fell to the Scharnebeck monastery in exchange for a farm in Eyendorf.

The watermill was first mentioned in 1330 and belonged to the monastery Lüne. The environment is beautiful even in winter. In spring, summer and autumn, it must be fantastically beautiful here. The actual mill building is empty. The adjoining residential tract is inhabited. In any case, two dogs have struck. Otherwise nobody was here.
