You pass the beautiful town hall on the way to the cathedral. It is located in the city park.

A few steps lead down to the Alb from the car park. A Kneipp facility has been installed directly in the river, separated from the main river by a small wall. The fresh water from the Alb therefore flows permanently through the Kneipp course.

A nice hike on hot days, as much of the route runs in the shade of the trees. The starting point at the Hotel Albtalblick has good parking facilities. Wide paths and narrow paths characterize the tour.

The Alb Basin or Alb Dam is a reservoir in the Alb valley near St. Blasien (southern Black Forest). The gravity dam of the Alb reservoir is 28 m high. The dam between Schluchsee and the Rhine near Waldshut is part of the pumped storage network of Schluchseewerk AG.

If you don't visit St. Blasien with the cathedral, town hall and park, it's your own fault. There are numerous cafes along the creek. We used St. Blasien for a few round trips. There is a free car park just outside. If you want to be on the safe side, you can use the multi-storey car park.
