Small but perfectly formed, even in winter

Natural hiking trails 💚 lead to the Litberg, surrounded by fields and meadows 💚 and forests. Gravel pits and wind turbines also characterize the landscape. A hike is highly recommended.

This viewing bench is located on a small hill in the Rahmstorf forest 💚. From here, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the surrounding areas.

The nearby forest lake invites you to take a break and offers a beautiful opportunity to enjoy nature.

Since 1968, the railway line between Bremervörde and Buchholz (Nordheide) has been largely closed, and the railway embankment is often barely recognizable. However, four impressive brick viaducts in the Hollenstedt area remain as a reminder. They were built along with the line between 1899 and 1902 to allow the railway to cross the deep stream valleys. These characteristic ridges were formed during the Saale Glaciation.

Cute bridge with a nice path in both directions. Dogs can easily access the water for swimming or drinking.

Beautiful at sunset. There are small paths on both sides so you can also look around on the other side. There are even safety ropes on the right side to hold on to.

Groups of smaller mounds lie between the larger burial mounds. While the large mounds, which may contain stone chests, are from the Early Bronze Age, the smaller ones are from the Younger Bronze Age or Older Iron Age. This applies not only to the 70 preserved burial mounds in the protected area, but also to the burial mound field that once stretched west to Goldbeck and beyond.
