If you take the forest path from Nassau to Nassau Castle, don't forget to stop at the statue of Baron vom Stein. There's a place to sit and enjoy the views of the Lahn River and the surrounding area.

The castle is free to visit. Please note the opening hours. There's a wedding room in the castle tower, and breathtaking views of the surrounding area can be enjoyed from the top of the tower. You can even see the Lahn River from up there. 😘

There's a road you can take to Nassau Castle by car 🥳😜. Please be careful there, as the lane won't have enough room for two cars if another car is coming the other way. There are passing bays here and there. Or you can take the path through the forest on foot 🤗. The Lahn hiking trail also runs partway there 🌞🫶😄

At the same time, the park also honors the legacy of Baron vom Stein: a timeline provides information about the Baron's life and work, as well as his roots in Nassau and his legacy. From the city center, the nearest entrance to the park is opposite the palace gardens; there, a new monument commemorates Baron vom Stein.

Beautifully situated leisure park directly on the banks of the Lahn River As part of the Freiherr vom Stein Year 2007, marking the 250th birthday of Freiherr vom Stein and the 200th anniversary of his Nassau Memorandum, the baron's birthplace opened its Freiherr vom Stein Park, stretching from the grounds of Nassau Palace to the newly landscaped Lahn floodplains. Freiherr vom Stein Park offers a variety of opportunities for local recreation, sports, and long walks: mini-golf and children's play areas are integrated into the park.

Choose a bench with a view of the Lahn and simply enjoy. You'll see a lot, and there are houseboats, canoes, suppers, etc. The landscape with its flora and fauna is simply beautiful. 😍
