As part of the Freiherr vom Stein Year 2007, marking the 250th birthday of Freiherr vom Stein and the 200th anniversary of his Nassau Memorandum, the baron's birthplace opened its Freiherr vom Stein Park, stretching from the grounds of Nassau Palace to the newly landscaped Lahn floodplains. Freiherr vom Stein Park offers a variety of opportunities for local recreation, sports, and long walks: mini-golf and children's play areas are integrated into the park.
