Beautiful view, especially at night.

We took the stairs in the evening in October to see the northern lights up top. Despite the weather being fine in the valley, the higher we got, the more the stairs got slippery and covered in snow/ice. The view at the top and on the stairs was amazing though. The hike was well worth it. I wouldn't recommend it to people not used to hiking. It's very steep and there's no handrail.

We took bus 26 to the cable car. The entrance is on the right. Go straight on until you reach the second option to the top left. The path was easy to walk on in the morning because the ground was frozen. When we got to the top, we ate a delicious cinnamon bun with coffee. You need a Visa or Mastercard to get a ticket for the cable car.

An absolutely beautiful lake with an almost unreal color. Extremely beautiful - especially in autumn when the birch trees start to turn yellow - which makes a great contrast with the intense blue waters of the lake. The hike is easy enough but somewhat annoying - 3km on a dry riverbed, walking on uneven ground and lots of rocks. Still, it's absolutely worth the view!

If you want to eat a hot dog (meat or vegan) here, be prepared to stand in line. The kiosk may look very small, but it is clearly a well-run food stall. The fact that there is a spacious, covered and pleasant seat behind the kiosk will certainly contribute to its success.

Awesome lake! Not easy trail.

It is the only Norwegian cathedral made of wood. It is one of the northernmost cathedrals in the world and, with 800 seats, is one of the largest Norwegian wooden churches. It can only be visited during a mass or concert, which takes place daily at 11 p.m. during the summer months.
