Unmissable, yes this sign is legendary! We did the excursion from the Griffith Observatory and the trail is not particularly well indicated. The walk is nice (a little sporty) but at times the path is very narrow, lost in the vegetation and I admit that with the risk of fires you have to be vigilant. Don't forget to bring enough water. Excursion made at the beginning of September 2024, it was a heatwave.

Water fountain available on Mulholland Drive Bring 2 liters with refills at the fountain. Very little shade, so a cap is essential. My sneakers were sufficient (roads and trails only). Absolutely avoid street sneakers or flip-flops...

This park has an old fire road — perfect for non-technical riders — and a more challenging singletrack trail that more or less parallels the fire road. Both run north along the ridge, eventually connecting with the dirt/gravel section of Mulholland Drive.

Awesome spot for a 360 view! Just note, there's no shade up there. Take your breaks in shade on the road up and then stay for the views and wind.

Sweeping panoramic overlook across Pacific Palisades, West LA, Santa Monica, and the Pacific Ocean bay at the junction of Paseo Miramar and Los Leones Trail

A network of hard-packed dirt trails surround this small lake. You can ride right up to the edge. The banking of the trails combined with the tree boughs that overhang the water make this feel like a secret oasis.

Lake Balboa Park is a charming place with plenty of parking space, picnic tables, a restaurant, public restrooms and a long greenway by the lake's shore. It is also known for the several Japanese Cherry Blossom trees all over the park's surface.

This view point is at the top of the East Topanga Fire Road or at the end of the Los Leones Trail depending which way you come. Either way there are simply amazing views of Los Angeles and the Pacific Palisades. The views of the ocean and downtown LA are simply outstanding.
