The picturesque Kusadasi Castle, built and expanded between the 14th and 18th centuries, is located on Pigeon Island (Guvercin Adasa), an island connected to Kusadasi by a causeway. Originally built as a military base, the fortress consists of outer walls, gardens, and an inner palace with a tiny museum.

The stadium of Aphrodisias was one of the largest in antiquity. It also had ingenious acoustics due to the shell seats and was detachable for gladiator fights.
