Whether hiking or biking—mountain biking, racing biking, or road biking—the ruins of the medieval hilltop Wallenstein Castle are a great destination. The adjacent campsite with a natural outdoor pool is very family-friendly. The surrounding area offers many opportunities for suitable outdoor activities, even with children. The long-distance hiking trail - X9 WARTBURGPFAD - leads directly past the castle ruins. The accessible keep offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.

A beautifully maintained complex: the castle, the rose garden and a steep but beautiful climb from the city center to the very well-preserved castle. There is also a wonderful view of Spangenberg.
