The Werra Cycle Path is truly a beautiful route! Along the babbling river, you cycle through a diverse landscape, past green meadows and rolling hills. The charming half-timbered villages and historic towns invite you to take a leisurely break and exude a very special atmosphere. It's a journey for the soul, where you can enjoy nature and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. Simply wonderful!

The old Werra Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Germany, its origins dating back to the 13th century.

😎 In 2023 I rode along here with my brother on my first longer EBIKE TOUR from ESW to ESA. Then again the next day on the way back. What a fantastic picture. What a symphonic frog concert from the other bank of the Werra. What a wonderful cycle path between Hesse and Thuringia. The next time will be in 2024 on an e-bike tour with my partner from Eschwege-Niederhone through the beautiful Ringgau to Creuzburg and back to Eschwege. We enjoyed it. And I'm already looking forward to the next time. Sometime this year. 👋

The Drachenstein offers a wonderful view towards Inselsberg and Hörselberg. It is located on the wine route between “Hohe Sonne” and “Mosbacher Linde”.

You cycle along the cliffs. The rocks, the trees and the blue sky offer a wonderful view.

Even though only ruins and the keep remain of the almost thousand-year-old hilltop castle, a visit to the observation tower is worth the climb. With a bit of luck, the visit will coincide with one of the cultural events there during mid-summer.
