From the banks of the Danube, you can enjoy a view of the Abwinden-Asten power plant, one of the largest run-of-river power plants in Austria. The facility extends over 252 meters and consists of nine Kaplan bulb turbines with a total output of 168 MW. A cycling path runs directly past the power plant, offering both close-up views and photo opportunities. For nature lovers, the fish bypass, opened in 2020, is a highlight, as it allows fish safe passage upstream and supports the ecological sustainability of the power plant.
