A very beautiful building.

You can easily walk along the ring wall of the historic site. A footpath winds through a double row of ancient oaks.

I always find old houses very impressive.

The eastern part of the probably circular rampart, facing the lake, is now missing. The remaining rampart is interrupted by a gap of around 30 metres in the west. The entire complex is around 1.5 metres above the level of the surrounding fields, and the rampart is up to four metres high. The remaining parts are covered with a row of oak trees, but are still clearly visible. The town of Neumünster has placed the area under landscape protection. The inner castle consists of an open grassy area. Paths lead along the rampart and through the inner castle.

Welcome to our Vicelin parish. We invite you to take a tour of our parish. Our beautiful, classicist Vicelin Church is located in the heart of the city of Neumünster. It is the center of our parish. We gather here as a parish, from young to old. Look and read about us, the history of the church, our services and our rich parish life.

Only the name indicates that a grain mill stood here until 1981. The pond was dammed to use the water power of the Schwale. In 1899, the town of Neumünster bought the mill pond, including the pond bed, from the miller Tode. The Todesche mill was moved to the outskirts of the town in 1983 and the site on Lütjenstraße was redeveloped. The "Zur Mühle" pub kept its traditional location.

On the facade of Lütjenstrasse 11 there are panels showing motifs related to the milling craft!!
