Narrow, short but fun forest trail that passes by the Loupi cabin.

The Montarlot tumulus was built between the two Iron Ages, from 600 to 450 BC. It measures nearly 20 m in diameter and a total height of 1.30 m. (Source: 4 Rivières Tourist Office) Unfortunately, it is relatively overgrown with scrub.

At the foot of this statue of the Virgin Mary overlooking the village of Montarlot-lès-Champlette, there is a bench that offers a beautiful view of Champlitte and its surroundings, as well as the Jura and the Alps. The statue is located along the Sentier des Chèvres, a pretty single-track passage along the edge of the hill (very nice for mountain biking!).

This quiet road runs through the forest for several kilometers. It offers a pleasant coolness in hot weather. It overlooks the Saôlon and the Resaigne, two rivers located on either side of the woods.

This is a very clear viewpoint towards the south, at the edge of the plateau overlooking Noidant-Châtenoy. It is also an excellent astronomical observation post (very little light pollution and no tall trees nearby). It can be reached by coming from the Noidant corniches path, which makes a nice sequence.

This monkey track goes down the hillside, winding between the trees. It is relatively technical and really fun!

The canal between Champagne and Burgundy is a waterway which connects the Marne and the Saône. If you are looking for a scenic and relaxing hike, you can follow the canal towpath from Heuilley-Cotton to Villegusien-le-Lac, a distance of approximately 6 km. Along the way you will see the picturesque countryside, old stone bridges, the historic tunnel and the Condes lift bridge. You will also be able to appreciate the fauna and flora that live along the banks of the canal.

This very beautiful lake is one of those reservoir lakes built on the course of the Vingeanne at the very beginning of the last century. The town located on its shore is called Villegusien-le-Lac!
