11세기에 처음 문서로 언급됨 1660년부터 Ernst Graf von Abensperg und Traun의 지휘 아래, 건축가 Domenico Carlone과 Carlo Canevale에 의한 바로크 양식 확장

포텐부르크 성 유적은 포텐부르크 위 울창한 언덕 위에 솟아 있으며 12세기로 거슬러 올라가는 역사를 가지고 있습니다. 한때 강력했던 성벽의 인상적인 잔해가 오늘날에도 남아 있어 그 규모를 짐작할 수 있습니다. 오래된 성벽과 숲길 사이에서 박물관 없이 역사를 체험할 수 있습니다. 🏰

숲속 한가운데 있는 흥미로운 폐허입니다. 안쪽으로 멋진 한 바퀴를 돌 수 있습니다. 아쉽게도 "일반적인" 방법으로는 실제로 잘 보존된 탑을 오를 수 없습니다. 하지만 "밧줄"이 어디로 이어지는지는 시도해보지 않았습니다. 흥미로운 하이라이트이며 방문할 가치가 있습니다.

Kittsee Castle is located on the outskirts of the town center. Surrounded by a park, this Baroque castle is one of the most important sights in northern Burgenland. It was built as a farmstead in the early 17th century before being enlarged and expanded into a palace complex under Johann Listy, a Transylvanian native. Another major renovation took place in the mid-18th century, when Prince Paul Anton Esterházy had it rebuilt in the Baroque style.

Beautifully preserved castle with open gates for cycling in, there is a restaurant in the first courtyard.

The New Gattendorf Castle consists of a two-wing administration building on the street side. This is followed by a three-story palace with a ten-axis garden facade. The Old Gattendorf Castle is a mighty two-wing building with a core structure dating from around 1600. The rusticated portal in the seven-axis main front dates from the 17th century and the giant Ionic pilasters from the second half of the 18th century. In the 19th century, the castle was "degraded" to a granary, used as such until the Second World War and later converted back into a castle.
