The last village on the Italian side is a very well-preserved village with cobbled streets, beautiful and well-decorated houses, and a couple of places where you can eat or have a drink. It is worth stopping to refuel and take a photo at the village fountain before tackling the very tough 10 km stretch to the summit. It is also a good place to have a sandwich or something at lunchtime.

Chianale, a hamlet of Pontechianale, is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It is located at the entrance to the road that leads to Colle dell'Agnello, the crossing between Italy and France.

Beautiful high mountain village, completely preserved, without modern buildings. Almost completely restored, it has no specific points of interest, but each building, each construction is a small point of interest in itself. Full of services (bars, restaurants, clubs). Excellent break point - stage - support for those who want to attempt the climb to Colle dell'Agnello.
