The waterfall is located in the Tiefenbach valley, above the old town of Bernkastel. A very beautiful hiking trail leads to this truly spectacular waterfall!

The path along the wild Endert River is indeed a bit wild in places, and some bridges need to be repaired. But you'll find peace and quiet here, with hardly any people around and beautiful, narrow paths with the sound of the river. Pure relaxation.🥰

The St. Anne Chapel and the Stations of the Cross date back to 1890 and are designed in the Neo-Gothic style. A huge mosaic on the back of the chapel wall, which also marks the 14th station and the end of the Stations of the Cross, is absolutely worth seeing.

If you don't mind climbing over a few fallen branches, you can walk along the shore the whole time.

Near the Sirzenicher waterfall you will find this stream crossing with a natural bench (a tree trunk lying across it), where you can simply dangle your feet in the cool water in the current heat, should the watering hole directly at the waterfall be occupied again 💦😊

The square is characterized by its unique grace and dignity, setting it apart from other market squares in Germany, as it combines attractive coziness with carefree cheerfulness, thus becoming the town's living room. It also serves as its ballroom, the focal point and heart of its life. The 400-year-old half-timbered houses, the Renaissance Town Hall (1608), the St. Michael's Fountain (1606), and the much-admired, charming "Pointed House" (1416) reflect the living poetry of the Middle Ages. The filigree work of the fountain grille, the ornaments and colorful beam drawings in the half-timbering of the houses, and the ornate weather vanes on the roof gables still bear eloquent witness to the town's former prosperity and history.
