The Tiefenbach, which has its source between Longkamp and Gonzerath, meanders through a narrow valley to Bernkastel and flows into the Moselle there. Even though it is only a small stream, it forms an impressive waterfall that roars beautifully, especially after heavy rainfall. Directly above the waterfall, the Tinkel Chapel, which is well worth seeing, stands on a rock.

Beautiful waterfall in a crevice, the rugged profile of which can be interpreted as a chicken's head and is therefore called "det Hinkel", which gave the chapel above it the name Tinkel Chapel.

Small waterfall on the way to the Tinkel chapel in the Tiefenbach valley. Nice change on the continuing hiking trails.
