A beautiful bike ride to Wenningstedt. As always, there's plenty to see: everyday people, miniature golf, the sea, the village pond, and the Frisian Chapel. Highly recommended!

The Red Cliff and Uwe's Dune a tour

On Sylt, there are dunes that go on vacation – without a suitcase. The island's famous shifting dunes are the ultimate "globetrotters" of the North Sea: Every year, they move up to 5 meters further, taking with them everything that isn't nailed down. Even signs like "No Trespassing" suddenly appear in the middle of nowhere. What makes the dunes so special? Sand on the Move: The wind simply blows the dunes ahead of it – like an overzealous robot vacuum cleaner. If you can't find your favorite beach chair, it's not the Prosecco that's to blame, but the dune dynamics. The "Böögen": That's what Sylt residents call the dune "babies" – small sand hills that eventually grow into gigantic dunes (if they aren't eaten away by the next storm first). Eco-thriller: The dunes are burying everything, even World War II bunkers – nature is simply reclaiming what's rightfully hers.
