This Finnhütte (refers to the construction of the hut) is actually called “Glöcknerhütte” and is (for me) one of the most beautiful refuges on the Rennsteig. Always decorated according to the season, with a hut book and beautiful outdoor facilities, right on the Rennsteig.

The refuge in the immediate vicinity of the Glöckner offers a dream panorama towards the Werratal and Rhön. The saying that someone pinned to the large panoramic window is particularly appropriate here: "There is pleasure in the dark forest green, delight resides on an untrodden dune, society is where everything is deserted, music in the waves on the eternal sea, I love people, nature even more." Refuge with a dream panorama towards the Werratal and Rhön, not far from the Glöckner, located directly on the Rennsteig and especially lovingly furnished. One can only hope and wish that it stays that way.

The Hainichbaude at Craulaer Kreuz is the starting point for hikes and walks on countless circular hiking trails in all directions through the wonderful Hainich.
