Super spacious refuge with attention to detail. A table, benches inside, a beautiful view, a candle to light, a hiking book to read and write in. The hut literally screams for cozy evenings!

The refuge in the immediate vicinity of the Glöckner offers a dream panorama towards the Werratal and Rhön. The saying that someone pinned to the large panoramic window is particularly appropriate here:

Refuge with a dream panorama towards the Werratal and Rhön, not far from the Glöckner, located directly on the Rennsteig and especially lovingly furnished. One can only hope and wish that it stays that way.

This Finnhütte (refers to the construction of the hut) is actually called “Glöcknerhütte” and is (for me) one of the most beautiful refuges on the Rennsteig.
Always decorated according to the season, with a hut book and beautiful outdoor facilities, right on the Rennsteig.

We were there in winter in the middle of the snow and had a wonderful break there. Candles and Advent wreaths were on the table. How loving and what a beautiful place. Great panoramic view

A very nice hut. Super well maintained. There is room for a good 8-10 people to stay overnight. However, the hut is heavily frequented :-) With the racing bike you can get there from both sides....the forest track can also be mastered with narrow tires. The water source was unfortunately dry in the summer of 2022, so bring enough water with you.

A very nice, large and comfortably furnished shelter.
We observed the night sky and the shooting stars and took photos of them from the table and bench right next to the shelter. Towards morning, when it got colder, we moved into the hut and slept on. A great experience! The hut is nice and decorated with lots of love. The candle made the evening really cozy.
