Indeed, a beautiful area, and it's good that this WWII memorial exists. It's a shame the name is misspelled; the decoy airfield is called d'n Kiek. A Kriek is a cherry.

www.schijnvliegvelddekiek.nl Schijnvliegveld De Kiek has been renovated! We have worked hard to improve Schijnvliegveld De Kiek and make it more accessible to everyone. The footpaths have been renovated and extra rest areas have been created with beautiful wooden tables and seats. The largest and most important update to the site is the ramp to the roof of the bunker! This means that the bunker can also be visited with a wheelchair or walker. This major renovation and construction of the ramp would not have been possible without a number of special sponsors, whom we would like to thank once again:

De Kiek airfield, located near Ulicoten, is a special war memorial that commemorates the deception tactics of the Second World War. The site was decorated with wooden aircraft models and lighting to mislead Allied bombers. Bunker SF37, a command post for the coordination of this operation, can still be seen. Walk along the information panels and discover the story of this historic place, in the middle of the Brabant landscape.
