Characterized by a medieval atmosphere, the village is known for its typical architecture, the historic production of amaretti (since 1860), and places of worship such as the Church of the Holy Trinity and the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

The Church of San Martino is one of the main places of worship located in the hamlet of the same name in the municipality of Stella (SV), Liguria. It represents one of the five historic centers ("stars") of the Savona area and has its origins in local religious tradition, dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours, a bishop known for his charitable gesture of carrying his cloak.
