크레모나 시립 운하는 약 57km(지하 구간 "크레모넬라"와 포강 합류 지점까지 포함하면 75km 이상)에 달하는 역사적인 인공 수로로, 1337년에 관개 목적으로 건설되었으며 오늘날에도 농업에 필수적입니다. 이 운하는 북쪽에서 남쪽으로 현을 가로지르며, 올리오 강을 도시와 연결하고 생물 다양성이 풍부한 풍경, 오래된 농가, 자전거 도로를 특징으로 합니다.

In the center of town, on the right bank of the Martesana Canal, stands an imposing waterwheel (popularly known as a rudun) said to have been designed by Leonardo da Vinci himself. Despite appearances, the wheel is not a mill, but a noria. Its function, in fact, was never to grind grain or power machinery, but rather to lift water from the canal to channel it into an irrigation system.

In this stretch, the Vacchelli Canal crosses the Moso Agricultural Park, passing through cultivated fields and rows of poplars. The dirt bike path runs alongside the water on a smooth surface, ideal for gravel and trekking bikes. Pedaling here immerses you in the rural landscape of Crema, with views that change with the seasons.
