The Brotteröder Hut offers a good place to rest before the ascent to the Großer Inselsberg.

Once you have climbed the Pleß you will be rewarded with a great view. There is a playground for the little ones and plenty of seating for the adults to relax. The hiking hut is open on weekends and public holidays in the afternoons. 👍🏻

This Finnhütte (refers to the construction of the hut) is actually called “Glöcknerhütte” and is (for me) one of the most beautiful refuges on the Rennsteig. Always decorated according to the season, with a hut book and beautiful outdoor facilities, right on the Rennsteig.

An artificially created waterfall, which lies on the edge of the landscape park and is therefore a rather quiet place. At the same time, it offers beautiful photo opportunities.
