The Wanfrieder Schlagd (also Wanfrieder Hafen and Historischer Hafen Wanfried) is located on the Werra in the northern Hessian town of Wanfried in the Werra-Meißner district. The listed complex consists of the former stacking area of the Wanfried harbor with a quay wall, iron rings for mooring ships, and a preserved remnant of the city wall.

the longest of the tunnels on the route and, in our opinion, also the coldest

Immediately after starting at the Lengenfeld unterm Stein train station, the ride on the trolley goes over the 244 m long and 23 m high Lengenfeld viaduct. This was definitely the highlight of this trip for us. This unique monument is an engineering masterpiece of the 19th century.

The Küllstedt tunnel is 1530 meters long, and a few meters before you enter the draft lets you feel where the path leads: into cold darkness. But there is an automatic emergency light that comes on when you approach it, but it was still freezing cold

A spare light and a warm jacket can be helpful

Very interesting place, and it's really cold in the tunnel, especially when cyclists come towards you without lights.

Good light and a warm jacket can be an advantage. An eventful passage is guaranteed.
