Runkel is a highlight for any bike tour. The beautiful old bridge over the Lahn River, Runkel Castle, the Lahn Island, and, from what I hear, one of the best ice cream parlors in the area, right below the castle. All right here in this one spot.

Josaphat Valley – Green Passage to the Old Town The idyllic Josaphat Valley leads with a gentle incline and plenty of shade through a nearly traffic-free, green oasis directly towards the old town. A pleasantly quiet path – ideal for cyclists, walkers, or pilgrims on the Way of St. James. Those who travel here will feel the pleasant interplay between the city and nature. A little insider tip for those who prefer to explore Limburg away from the hustle and bustle.
