The circular trail is really great, especially with children. Good footwear is recommended in wet weather, as it can get quite muddy in some places. Please note, it is not suitable for strollers. The paths are very narrow, and you can only walk single file. Alternatively, you can just hike the valley trail there and back, which is accessible with strollers and other vehicles.

The present ruins of the summit castle are located on the summit of the 644 m high Hohenkrähen ("Krayen"), a mountain of volcanic origin north of Singen in the Hegau, between the villages of Duchtlingen, Schlatt unter Krähen and Mühlhausen in the Duchtlingen district.

Spacious barbecue hut, must be rented from the municipality of Engen.

It is worth a visit, entrance costs 5 euros

If you hike here in dry weather, there are much nicer rest areas. Using the barbecue area without registering will result in a fine of at least €250. The view is also somewhat restricted from there. But in rain and/or cold wind, the hut, which is closed on three sides, is certainly valuable. The picnic tables are also practical if you want to eat.
