A specially protected biotope managed by the Goslar Nature and Environmental Aid Association! In 2010, approximately 2.2 hectares of the Reinbach valley floor on Nordberg were acquired. In subsequent years, the Goslar Nature and Environmental Aid Association purchased an additional 2 hectares of adjacent land. Three nature conservation associations—the Goslar Nature and Environmental Aid Association, the Goslar Natural Science Association, and the EIU (Volunteer Environmental Protection)—worked together and, with the support of the BINGO Environmental Foundation, renaturalized the spring meadow biotope. The pond was created artificially. It is fed not by a stream, but by the spring meadows located here. A lovely place for a break.

From the Altarklippen you have a wonderful view over the Granetalsperre to the Rammelsberg. For me it is one of the top 20 stamping points for the Harz hiking pin. The path up to the Altarklippen is easy to do - even by bike.

Beautiful biotope with diverse wildlife. Lots of small fish, dragonflies, etc. Very idyllic with a bench to relax. There is also a detailed information board about the biotope created by humans. Great work and as you can see, the animal and plant world was happy to accept this little paradise 🍀👍🏼

Wonderful panorama 🌊💙 Stamp office of the HWN 110♟️ Beautiful shelter with benches available to really enjoy what is offered here - simply wonderful ❣️🤗📸 Built in 1969, the Granetalsperre 🌊 is the youngest of the Harz reservoirs. Because the Grane river does not carry enough water for the 3 km long lake, an approx. 7.4 km long tunnel to the Oker was dug below the Okertalsperre. 😲
