Seedorf Castle is a great photo opportunity. It's privately owned, and therefore neither tours nor entry to the entire complex are permitted. It's a shame, but also understandable.

A nice place, unfortunately the cafe was closed

A place to linger, with a magnificent view of Lake Schaalsee and a beautiful 12th/13th-century church with a small steeple and a cemetery. St. Abundus Church was the filming location for the German ARD miniseries "The Funeral," which first aired in 2022. The church, the view of the lake, and several other locations are easily recognizable. Anyone who has taken a tour here will recognize many scenes exactly from their photos. The Funeral is an improvised German ARD miniseries that first aired in 2022. The series was filmed in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from September 25, 2020, to September 28, 2020. Very nicely located right on the lake, the craft market is also highly recommended when it's taking place.😉

A great church in beautiful surroundings.

The beginnings of the church go back to the year 1155 and 1160, in the following centuries it was rebuilt and added to again and again. Very beautiful, interestingly designed building https://kirche-zarrentin.de/kirche.html

A bit out of the way but very nice "castle", which is actually the former manor house of the Seedorf estate on the Schaalsee.

The St. Abundus Church in Lassahn with its field stone sacristy from the 13th century received in the 17th/18th. Century half-timbered additions and a tower. The furnishings include an altarpiece from 1898. On the top of the tower there is a golden rooster from 1980. In the tower there is a bell from 1993.
