The single-story Groß Plasten manor house was built in 1751 as a stucco building with a mansard roof in the Baroque style. Basedow Castle is a real eye-catcher and beautiful to look at. Together with Lenné Park and the small village with the village church, it forms a wonderful ensemble. Unfortunately, the castle itself can only be partially visited as part of a guided tour. But it is also worth seeing from the outside. There is a small path leading directly around the castle. The park is free and freely accessible and it is also worth taking a long walk here. The reflection of the castle in the adjacent village pond is also beautiful!👌 - why they have created several highlights for the same thing here is a mystery to me, as it is completely unnecessary! -

At the front you are standing in front of locked gates. At the back you can enter the grounds unhindered. The path to Klein Plasten also leads past the castle.

Cyclists are not welcome here. Although the cycle path runs along the edge of the site, there is a locked gate and an additional barrier.

The main building of Groß Plasten Castle was built in 1751 as a single-storey manor house.
