The place was mentioned on September 22, 1724 on a memorial stone at the old salt spring in the spa gardens. This is not about founding a place, but about the prerequisite for it. What you assume here regarding the route of the Hermannsweg is quite harsh. The normal route takes a detour from the ridge over the terrace - ok, apparently someone with a commercial interest had influence here. Thanks to Corona, this route is now closed.
