This sculpture stands in the middle of the square in front of the villa. It's a great photo opportunity for Transformers fans.

A visit to an orgy of waste that is well worth seeing: renovated for well over €8 million (public funds are taxpayers' money!), but hardly used at all. Normally, you create a usage concept and then renovate it afterwards if necessary. Here, it's the other way round: first renovate, then look for a use.

The "Little Sanssouci" villa complex consists of a castle-like main building, an outbuilding with a connecting corridor and a park-like villa garden. The miniature version of Potsdam's Sanssouci Palace, built between 1745 and 1747 by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff, was built in 1905, 1912 and 1913, and the side wing was added in 1939. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, it was returned to its original owner, the German Post Office. Today it is privately owned, presumably by a "Transformers" fan. At least that is what the large sculpture in the driveway suggests.

Unfortunately it is not open due to construction work :-(

Hello @Hugo, it may be that this was a great event. I am rather negatively surprised at how little has happened here since my visit almost exactly two years ago (!). At the time I thought it would be finished in 2021. And when I see your pictures, it could take that long again before you officially get in here 🙁.

Today, April 1, 2023, our mayor invites you to visit the hunting lodge in Fürstenwalde, which has been renovated for around €8 million. We were allowed to visit the basement and the main floor during a guided tour. Actors from the Potsdam “Long Guys” infantry regiment gave the whole thing a great flair. There were even treats for the palate. All in all a great event.

The hunting lodge is obviously finished on the outside.
